Nei giorni scorsi è morto Gianroberto Casaleggio. Quasi tutti lo disprezzavano, moltissimi lo deridevano, alcuni lo insultavano. Lui aveva raccolto questi insulti in un libro, “Insultatemi”. Massimo Gramellini aveva scritto: “Uno che basta guardarlo in foto una volta per averne paura per sempre”. Gli avevano detto: ignorante, massone, leninista, mendicante, narcisista, stregone, cretino, qualunquista, paranoico. Le più belle cose gliele aveva dette Vincenzo De Luca, governatore della Campania: “Uno che, a 50 anni, si fa la permanente la mattina è capace di ogni delitto». Dopo la morte di Casaleggio De Luca ha detto: “Dolore e onore per una persona che ha realizzato un obiettivo che è di rilevanza straordinaria, mettendo in piedi un movimento che in qualche misura ha segnato la vicenda politica di questi anni in Italia”.
Tutti, oggi, dichiarano il loro cordoglio per la morte di Casaleggio. Il cordoglio più grosso lo ha sparato Matteo Renzi che fino al giorno prima aveva l’orticaria al solo sentire il nome di Casaleggio: “Vorrei esprimere il cordoglio mio e di tutto il governo e del Pd”. Era uno degli ultimi giorni del novembre 1999. Salii al settimo piano del palazzo della Rai di viale Mazzini (quello pieno di amianto) per intervistare Pierluigi Celli, il direttore generale. Non mi sembrava una notizia particolarmente eccitante, lo sapevano tutti che le alte cariche della Rai spettavano, erano sempre spettate, al primo ministro. Ma il giorno dell’uscita in edicola di Sette, il magazine del Corriere della Sera, successe l’ira di dio. Sbucarono da ogni dove mille mammolette, scandalizzate, che alzarono un bel polverone tanto che lo stesso Celli mi fece telefonare chiedendomi di smentire e dire che mi ero sbagliato, cosa che naturalmente non feci. Era veramente una polemica senza senso. Invece che spingere verso una sana e radicale riforma della Rai si preferiva la contesa e la battaglia tutte le volte che succedeva quello che non poteva che succedere e cioè che la politica, padrona della Rai, sceglieva gli alti dirigenti della Rai. Da allora sono passati 16 anni. Di riforme sostanziali non ne sono state fatte, in compenso è stato riformato il comune sentire. Giorni fa il direttore generale della Rai, Antonio Campo Dall’Orto ha raccontato al Corriere della Sera che il 5 agosto Matteo Renzi gli ha telefonato per offrirgli la direzione della Rai. E se dio vuole non è successo nulla. Non fioriscono più le mammolette.
